What does it mean when an AG doll has no neck strings? I have seen this several times lately on ebay. A doll that really really looks like an AG doll, with a somewhat lower bid price, but the seller say it has no neck strings, never did.
Is it authentic?

In addition to neck strings, there are also plastic zip ties.

Since there appears to be a lack of desire for AGs with nylon tiewraps, the AG Hospital has stopped using them, it would make sense to replace them with string before trying to sell a doll on eBay. This is a trivial 2-minute procedure...

We just got Samantha back from the hospital last week and she had the ziptie!!!
She is still beautiful though and Cassie doesn't mind, but I thought she would have the strings.

If it's important to you, you can send her back to the hospital for strings, and I'm not sure but I think they'll pay the shipping. If you call CS and ask, they may send you a shipping label.

Or, like Taffy Cheerful says, you can cut the ziptie and put in a drawstring yourself. A shoelace works well if you're not picky, but if you ARE picky, you can find the strong cord at fabric stores and hardware stores, too.

If this is the one I think, notice she says it has been to the hospital. They remove the neck strings and replace them with the afore mentioned zip tie.
